11.09.22 – This morning Rookie was in the hen run, again, not sure when, or how he got in there, but he was very reluctant to come out! He obviously identifies himself as a chicken! Lots of field mushrooms, are spreading across both sides of the paddock, I decided to pick up all the ones the ponies had knocked over and got half a measuring jug full, we have seen them other years, but never so many, the conditions must be just right for them! I picked another six tomatoes and still lots of green ones on the vines, nearly enough now to make chutney! The damsons are also ready to pick. I must remember to bring bags to collect them in! The sheep were very happy to see us, jumping up for a fuss, I took some pictures to paint, although it was difficult, as they wouldn’t keep still! Shah wanted to get in on the action, he knows there are mints in my pocket, so he had a hug and kisses too, then Holly came to see what she was missing, I love days like this!
