9.09.22 – Shopping day, for us and the animals! Our dogs are raw fed. When we had Poppy, we were her third home at just 5 months, her breeder had become ill and passed her to the stud dog, owner, who in turn had sold her to us! She had a chronic upset tummy, despite trying various types of feed and a trip to the vets, our poor girl was very thin, as a last resort I decided to try a raw meat diet! I can honestly say, the change was instant, she now has Winalot Shapes, as an extra treat, with no ill effects also weekly a large raw marrow bone which both dogs have a towel to eat them on! When we lost our Bedlington Toddly, Poppy was lonely, so we had a three months old Standard Poodle puppy, Jazzy, she came with tinned puppy food, walked straight up to Poppy’s bowl and tucked in to her raw meat! So fortnightly trips are needed to buy frozen raw meat! Costs are rising, it’s not just energy! Cat meat, poultry corn, dog meat and horse feed, are now considerably more expensive, than just a few months ago! At least we had a bumper harvest of hay this year 22 tonnes! So plenty for the winter months!
